Zenith Bank Appoints Kennedy Okwudili as Executive Director Effective May 1, 2026
Zenith Bank Plc has announced the appointment of Kennedy Onuwa Okwudili as an Executive Director, effective 1 May 2026. The appointment, consistent with the bank’s tradition and succession strategy of grooming leaders from within, is expected to further strengthen its executive management.
Kennedy Onuwa Okwudili graduated in 1998 from the University of Maiduguri with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting, Second Class Upper Division. He obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2008, and a Master of Science in Accounting from Veritas University, Abuja in 2021.
Okwudili has more than 25 years of cognate banking experience spanning credit and marketing, treasury, compliance, as well as operations. Over the course of his career, he has worked across various zones and departments of the bank.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (2013), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (2024), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (2016).
He has attended several executive education programmes within and outside Nigeria, including the Senior Leadership Development Programme at the Lagos Business School, the Corporate Directorship Programme at Harvard Business School, and the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Programme at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
