Musk Announces Fight with Zuckerberg To Be Live-Streamed

Elon Musk recently took to social media to announce that his much-discussed fight with Meta Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg will be live-streamed on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

The two tech giants have been playfully challenging each other to a mixed martial arts cage match in Las Vegas since June.

In a post on X early on Sunday morning, Musk declared, “Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.” However, he did not provide any further details about the event.

Responding to Musk’s proposal on his own social media app Threads, Zuckerberg stated, “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug. 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.” Zuckerberg also suggested using a “more reliable platform” that can effectively raise money for charity.

Musk, on the other hand, shared his preparation activities on X, stating that he was “lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight.” He also mentioned bringing weights to work due to time constraints.

When a user asked Musk about the purpose of the fight, he responded, “It’s a civilized form of war. Men love war.”

The friendly feud between the two began with a post from Musk on June 20, where he expressed his willingness to engage in a cage match with Zuckerberg, who is trained in jiujitsu. In response, Zuckerberg, known for posting pictures of his victories in matches on Instagram, playfully asked Musk to “send location” for the proposed event.

Musk humorously suggested “Vegas Octagon,” referring to the venue known for hosting mixed martial arts (MMA) championship bouts. He also expressed that he would begin training if the cage fight were to become a reality.

As the challenge continues to garner attention, fans eagerly await further updates on the event, hopeful that it will ultimately benefit charity causes supporting veterans.
