Super Eagles Camp Ready for World Cup Qualifier

The Super Eagles camp in Uyo is prepared for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium. All 23 invited players have arrived in Uyo. The latest additions, including Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, and others, were received at the Victor Attah International Airport and taken to the team’s camp at Four Point by Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene.

These arrivals complete the list of players for the double-header against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in Rwanda on Sunday. Goalkeeper Amas Obasogie, replacing Maduka Okoye, also joined the camp. The team had their first training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium’s practice pitch.

Meanwhile, the Crocodiles of Lesotho, consisting of 23 players and nine officials, have arrived in Uyo for tomorrow’s match. Coach Leslie Notsi’s team was welcomed by the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee and accommodated at Ibom Hotel and Resorts.

The Lesotho encounter is scheduled for tomorrow at 5 pm on the main turf of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
