Arsenal Reignite Interest in Osimhen as Chelsea Contend for €100m Napoli Star

Arsenal have renewed their interest in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, following a period during which their pursuit seemed to have cooled while Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain continued to vie for his signature.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the north London club has rejoined the race to sign Osimhen as they seek to bolster their attacking options with a new forward.
Napoli, the Serie A champions, are reportedly keen to cash in on Osimhen. Initially, they were holding out for the full €130 million (£111m/$145m) release clause in his contract before considering a sale, but they have now revised their position and are willing to accept a lower fee. Selling Osimhen would generate much-needed funds for Napoli and facilitate their acquisition of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
Chelsea, however, remain determined to sign Osimhen and have reportedly tabled a swap deal offer. The Blues are also trying to convince Napoli to allow Osimhen to join them on loan. However, the Nigerian international is said to be open to making a different move.
Arsenal may be able to persuade Napoli to sell the 25-year-old and convince him to make the move to north London. Meanwhile, Belgian striker Lukaku is closely monitoring Osimhen’s situation as he hopes to reunite with his former Inter coach Antonio Conte at Napoli.
