New App Allows Nigerians to Monitor Government Ministers Performance

A Delivery Tracker App, designed to allow citizens to monitor the performance and key deliverables of all ministries, was activated on Monday.

Hadiza Bala Usman, the special adviser to the president on policy coordination and head of the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU), launched the app at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. She stated that the app’s launch aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring citizens’ involvement in government performance monitoring.

The app, accessible at app.cdcu.gov.ng, underscores President Tinubu’s dedication to transparency and accountability. Usman emphasized that it would grant Nigerians access to ministerial deliverables, recognizing citizens as essential stakeholders in evaluating government performance.

She outlined the presidential priority areas, including economic reform, national security enhancement, agricultural development for food security, energy resource utilization, infrastructure improvement, and governance enhancement.

Usman added, “We have established specific deliverables and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for these priority areas, forming the basis for the Performance Bond signed by all Ministers and Permanent Secretaries with the President in November 2023. The CDCU is mandated to present Quarterly Assessments and Annual Scorecards to the President based on these parameters.”

The app will be available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple Store within the next month.
