President Bola Tinubu announced during the annual Nigerian Economic Summit that the era of industrial crises in Nigeria’s academic sector will come to an end with the launch of the Students’ Loan Scheme in January 2024.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring that students no longer face disruptions in their education due to strikes.

Tinubu outlined his administration’s plans to stabilize the economy in collaboration with stakeholders, including the private sector.

He stressed the need for a sustainable credit scheme that would support an effective anti-corruption campaign. He emphasized the importance of a consumer credit scheme to eliminate the need for cash purchases of items like cars and provide mortgage options for homeownership.
