The All Progressives Congress (APC) will inaugurate the President Bola Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, as the party steps up preparations for the next presidential election.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the inauguration would take place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marking a significant step in the APC’s preparations for the election.

The development comes as the country prepares for the 2027 general election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved and issued a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the polls.

The commission had initially fixed Saturday, February 20, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections, and Saturday, March 6, 2027, for the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections, in accordance with the Electoral Act, 2022.

However, following the repeal of the Electoral Act, 2022, and the enactment of the Electoral Act, 2026, which introduced changes to statutory timelines governing pre-election and electoral activities, INEC reviewed and realigned the schedule to ensure compliance with the new legal framework.

Under the revised timetable, the presidential and National Assembly elections will now hold on Saturday, January 16, 2027, while the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2027.
