Mbappe Banished to PSG’s Team ‘B’

Kylian Mbappe, the 24-year-old striker for Paris Saint-Germain, will be training with the club’s ‘B’ squad on Monday morning as the dispute over his contract continues. The French champions are currently at odds with Mbappe over his refusal to sign a contract extension.

His current deal is set to expire at the end of the upcoming season, and PSG officials believe he has already agreed to join Real Madrid in 2024. As a result, they are eager to secure a transfer fee for their valuable £250 million asset before he can leave on a free transfer.

Recently, Mbappe turned down a proposal for a ‘guaranteed sale’ clause for the end of this season and instead demanded a free transfer. While he claims to have intentions of staying with the Ligue 1 champions beyond this summer, PSG is determined to pursue his exit to avoid missing out on a significant transfer fee, leading to a stalemate in negotiations.

Real Madrid has been the top contender to sign Mbappe for several years but has so far been unsuccessful in their pursuit. The situation has become increasingly complex, leading to Mbappe’s exclusion from PSG’s pre-season tour.

Real Madrid’s focus on signing strikers has intensified after Karim Benzema’s confirmed exit in June, and with players like Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, and Mariano Diaz also departing as free agents this summer.

With only new signing Joselu as the recognized senior central striker in their ranks, securing Mbappe’s transfer becomes a priority for the Spanish giants.

As the transfer window nears its end, Mbappe’s situation remains veiled in mystery, while PSG remains unwavering in their stance, continuing to train the superstar separately from the club’s main group of players.
