Tinubu Embarks on Private Visit to France, Set to Attend AU Summit

President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for Paris, France, on a private visit, his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.
According to Onanuga, the President’s visit to France is personal and comes ahead of his trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he will participate in the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU) Heads of State, scheduled to take place from 12 to 16 February 2025.
While in France, Tinubu is also expected to meet with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron.
Onanuga added that Tinubu would arrive in Addis Ababa early next week for the AU summit.
