Remo Stars Clinch Historic NPFL Title with Three Matches Remaining

Remo Stars have secured the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title with three matches to spare, following a thrilling 1–0 victory over Niger Tornadoes during a match-day 35 fixture in Ikenne on Sunday.
Second-half substitute Olamilekan Adedayo fired home a late winner in the 83rd minute, sealing the triumph for coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s side after relentless pressure throughout the game.
The win marks Remo Stars’ 21st victory of the season, lifting them to 68 points and establishing a commanding 10-point lead over second-placed Rivers United, with only three matches remaining.
This historic achievement also makes Remo Stars the first club from Nigeria’s South-West to win the top-flight title since Julius Berger’s championship victory in 1991.
