Rema Graces Dazed Cover Again, Showcasing Artistic Evolution

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has captured global attention with his second feature on the cover of Dazed magazine.

In this latest edition, the 24-year-old singer delves into his creative process, shedding light on the ancestral influences that have shaped his music and artistry.

Rema also reflected on his symbolic connection with bats, which he believes represent his unique artistic identity.

Speaking in the feature, he emphasised his significant influence on the Afrobeat genre, stating that his contributions to the industry should not be underestimated.

Renowned for his distinct sound and artistic expression, Rema has collaborated with international artists such as Selena Gomez, Chris Brown, AJ Tracey, and Yseult.

He has also released multiple EPs and albums, including Rave & Roses, Rose Ultra, and Heis.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Rema first gained recognition with his 2019 hit song Dumebi. His international success was further cemented with his 2022 single Calm Down, which featured a remix with American singer Selena Gomez. The song peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 for Afrobeat songs and set a record by remaining at the top of the Billboard charts for 58 consecutive weeks.
