Omo-Agege Urges Nigerians To Trust Tinubu’s Economic Agenda

Former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has called on Nigerians to have faith in President Bola Tinubu’s economic agenda, as the current economic downturn necessitates painful but temporary tough measures.
In a statement released by his Media Adviser, Mr. Sunny Areh, on Tuesday in Asaba, Omo-Agege commended Tinubu for his special attention to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the economic recovery package unveiled during his nationwide address on Monday.
According to Omo-Agege, SMEs play a critical role in driving economic growth in developing countries, offering significant employment opportunities and enabling the younger generation to acquire valuable skills for productive engagement.
As the 2023 Delta governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Omo-Agege expressed confidence that Tinubu’s address revealed a well-thought-out strategy to revive the economy.
He highlighted the focus on energizing the real sector, especially micro and small businesses, with an allocation of over N275 billion to support the manufacturing sector and target over 1,300 business organizations.
Omo-Agege urged Nigerians to trust in President Tinubu’s economic agenda, recognizing that the severity of the country’s downturn necessitates difficult but necessary measures.
He emphasized that in the long run, these measures would pave the way for a brighter future, as they address major policy roadblocks to growth, such as removing oil subsidies and addressing fraudulent multiple foreign exchange policies.
He expressed confidence in the administration’s recovery plan, believing it would lead Nigeria back to the path of growth and prosperity.
