In a bid to bolster the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, Governor Sanwo-Olu has extended an invitation to the Department of State Services (DSS) to collaborate in the inquiry.

This inter-agency cooperation, the Governor said, would leverage state-of-the-art technology and resources to unveil the truth, even as it expressed its heartfelt condolences on the unfortunate demise of the music sensation.

“We share the pain of losing such a talented young artist who had made a significant mark in the fiercely competitive music industry. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and countless fans during this difficult time. May his soul find eternal rest,”a statement by Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Srategy, stated.

Following a directive from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Police had earlier announced a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s tragic passing. A dedicated 19-member police panel has been appointed to uncover the facts behind this unfortunate incident.

Tuesday’s statemnent added: “Governor Sanwo-Olu is resolute in his commitment to ensuring that anyone found culpable in any way, shape, or form in the events leading to MohBad’s demise faces the full weight of the law. As a result, the Department of State Services (DSS) has joined this effort to seek justice for the young artist, his family, and devoted fans.

“We appeal to individuals who possess vital information that may aid the investigation to come forward and assist the inquiry team. Rest assured, every effort will be made to ensure the confidentiality and safety of all witnesses providing crucial information or indicative evidence.

“Furthermore, we implore all friends and supporters of the departed artist to remain calm and refrain from making inflammatory statements or drawing premature conclusions. Demonstrating patience and closely following the investigative process will serve as the most meaningful tribute to MohBad’s memory.

“During this challenging period, we kindly request that the grieving family be allowed the space to mourn their loss in tranquility. These are indeed trying times for all of us, including the government, the bereaved family, and MohBad’s admirers. We must collectively avoid actions that may compound the grief.

“Both the Lagos State Police and the Department of State Services (DSS) have been directed to provide periodic updates to the public on their progress in the investigation.

“The Lagos State Government remains committed to seeking the truth and ensuring justice is served in this tragic incident. Our hearts go out to MohBad’s family and fans as we navigate this difficult journey together,”the statement added.
