BBNaija Raises the Stakes as Season 11 Offers Record ₦160 Million Prize

MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 11th season of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality television show will premiere on July 26, with the winner set to receive a record grand prize of ₦160 million.

The organisers disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

According to MultiChoice, the ₦160 million prize package includes ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new sports utility vehicle (SUV).

The prize is the largest in the show’s history since its debut in 2006, raising the stakes for what is expected to be another landmark season.

The organisers said the launch show would air from 7 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, while the 24-hour live broadcast would be available on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49.

Fans will also be able to watch the show live via DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.

The organisers confirmed that Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as host of the reality show.

“Viewers can expect a season filled with unexpected twists, dynamic tasks, strategic gameplay, entertaining challenges, and the authentic interactions that have made Big Brother Naija one of Africa’s most-watched reality TV franchises,” the statement said.

The organisers added that the weekly live eviction shows would return, with audiences determining which contestants remain in the competition through public voting.
