The Nigerian Police Force has officially confirmed the completion of the autopsy on Mohbad, and they are set to disclose the findings in due course. The announcement was made through the official Nigerian Police Force X handle on Thursday, September 21st, 2023.

As a recap, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police spokesperson, had earlier revealed that an autopsy was ordered for Mohbad’s body, which led to its exhumation.

In an official statement, the Police clarified, “We would like to inform the public that the autopsy procedure for Mr. Mohbad has been successfully concluded. Further details will be provided as soon as the results become available.”

Mohbad’s recent passing, which occurred last Tuesday, has stirred public concern and allegations, primarily focusing on Afeez Fashola, professionally known as Naira Marley, who is the owner of Marlian Record Label. Naira Marley has vehemently asserted his innocence and joined the call for a thorough investigation to ensure justice.

Furthermore, disputes have arisen among family members regarding Mohbad’s estate, adding complexity to the situation. Questions have also emerged surrounding the swift burial of Mohbad in Ikorodu, Lagos, just a day after his demise. His father has since clarified that the family adhered to Yoruba customs in this regard.

In the wake of these developments, Nigerian youths have organized peaceful protests nationwide, demanding justice for Mohbad. A candlelight procession and concert were held in Lekki, Lagos, today as part of these efforts.
