Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget to National Assembly on Friday

President Bola Tinubu will on Friday present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a Joint Session of the National Assembly at 2:00 p.m.

The disclosure was contained in a letter issued by the Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA), Mr. Kamorudeen Ogunlana, and signed on his behalf by the Secretary, Human Resources and Staff Development, Mr. Essien Eyo Essien.

The letter stated: “I am directed to inform you that the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Tinubu, will present the 2026 proposed Budget to a Joint Session of the National Assembly.

“Consequently, all accredited persons are required to be at their duty posts by 11:00 a.m., failing which they will not be granted access to the National Assembly Complex for security reasons.

“Non-accredited persons are advised to stay away from the National Assembly on that day, except the Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA), the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA), the Clerk of the Senate, the Clerk of the House of Representatives, and their deputies.

“All other members of staff are required to park their vehicles at designated spaces at the Annex or the new car park by the National Assembly gate.”
