“I’m Nothing in His House”: Regina Daniels’ Cry Sparks Domestic Abuse Storm

Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of domestic violence, claiming that the situation in their marriage has become unbearable.

In a viral video, the actress—visibly distressed—alleged that her husband sent thugs to assault her. She was seen shouting as people around her tried to calm her, pouring water over her head in an attempt to pacify her.

“Ned sent thugs! In Ned Nwoko’s house, I’m nothing, but in my house, I’m a queen. I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much,” she said in the video, which sparked widespread concern among fans.

Regina Daniels, a mother of two, married Senator Nwoko—who represents Delta North in the National Assembly—when she was a teenager. Their union, marked by a 40-year age gap, has long been the subject of public scrutiny and debate.

However, Senator Nwoko has denied the allegations, attributing his wife’s recent behaviour to substance abuse.

In a statement and video posted on his verified Instagram account (@princenednwoko) on Sunday, the senator described Regina’s actions as “drug-influenced” and “unprovoked carnage.”

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” he claimed. “She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety.”

Nwoko alleged that Regina had gone on a violent rampage in his absence, attacking domestic staff and damaging property. “She slapped and hit three staff members within 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no reason,” he said.

He further claimed that Regina had moved to a location where she would have unrestricted access to drugs, despite his attempts to secure her admission into rehabilitation centres in Asokoro or Jordan.

The senator also accused two individuals—identified as Sammy and Ann—of supplying drugs to the actress. “While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier,” he alleged. “Another known supplier is the tiny evil devil called Ann.”

Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, reacted angrily on Instagram, accusing Nwoko of physically assaulting his sister and vowing to defend her.

“Anywhere a man beats a woman—whether it’s my sister or not—I will fight with my blood,” he wrote.

The cause of the altercation remains unclear, as neither Regina Daniels nor her representatives have issued an official response to Nwoko’s claims.
