Amosun to Dangote: We Cannot All be Bullied, Compromised

Former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has refuted Aliko Dangote’s claims that his administration demolished the businessman’s Itori cement plant twice.
In a statement issued by his media office, Amosun asserted that he could not be compromised, bullied, or blackmailed, suggesting that Dangote’s assumptions about political influence were misguided.
“While we will not engage in this deliberate mischief, we urge Alhaji Dangote to present details of his land acquisition and relevant planning approvals for public scrutiny,” the statement read.
Amosun also questioned why Dangote had previously praised his administration for fostering investment in Ogun State, only to now accuse it of obstruction. He pointed out that during his tenure, the state attracted over 500 businesses and accounted for 75% of Nigeria’s foreign direct investment in industrial projects, according to a World Bank report.
